As the year comes to a close, I thought it fitting in the spirit of the holiday season of course, to take time out of my busy schedule to give thanks to some things in my life.

My kid’s teachers…

for ALL the holiday crafts that now have to grace every corner of my house. I have so many hand print turkey centerpieces to choose from. AND you’ve saved me so much money on Christmas ornaments, as my tree is now fully covered in handmade ornaments.

Contraceptives…

because I love my children, but 3 is plenty. With your help I can rest easier knowing I will not be surprised with any new family additions.

My Children…

for teaching me the value of a dollar, as now I see less and less dollars each year. But it has taught me to appreciate the PENNIES I have left.

Alcohol…

for always being there to quench my thirst, to support me and always being there for me at the end of a rough day.

Germs…

because I always feel your love. You’re never too far away. You always manage to find my kids and eventually me. But its your mere presence that strengthens our immune systems, so I thank you and I’ll see you soon.

Spandex…

for being strong and flexible with me for all these years. For not judging me and always making me feel like I will always fit in.

My SUV…

for being reliable transportation and getting us back and forth to soccer practices, back and forth to soccer games, back and forth to basketball practices and back and forth to basketball games. Did I say thank you for getting us back and forth?

My husband…

for dieting, which forces me to be creative with dinner ideas. NO MEAT, oh no problem honey, NO GLUTEN, oh no problem sweetie, NO PASTA OR RICE, NO PROBLEM AT ALL. Also an extra thank you, because the extra time in the kitchen helps ME burn extra calories.

Please forgive me, if I left anything out, just know that I thank you!

Til next time,
